As Brighton enjoys it's summer, I speak to Dr Kerryn Greive, Scientific Affairs Manager of SunSense UK about the dangers and risks of UV exposure and tanning.

Ahead of their grand launch event, I spoke to the co-founder of Heart Venture - a friendship and dating agency for people with learning disabilities in Brighton and Hove.

Inspired by her son Daniel who featured on the Channel 4 show The Undateables, the agency was set up due to the lack of any other such dating agencies in the area.

We speak about how it works and future planned events as the team work on bringing a first of a kind new service to Brighton and Hove.

On this week's New at 2 I chatted with Chichester based singer-songwriter Ben Harvey.

Ben has already released 2 EPS - the second of which went straight into the top 50 in the iTunes singer songwriter charts when it was released in 2014. His single Think About You [released 18th June 2015] was named Single of The Week by Fortitude Magazine in the lead up to its release.

We talk about his music, his brand new single and his Wallace and Gromit inspired music video!

Ahead of their shows at this year's Brighton Fringe, I speak to Conor from acclaimed Irish comedy sketch group Foil Arms and Hog.

We chat about their current UK tour, their work on radio and TV, their 6 sold out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and about just how cosy three lads on tour can get with one another!

April 22, 2015 07:00 AM PDT

I catch up with the eclectic musician Duke Special ahead of his Brighton leg of his UK and Ireland tour to celebrate the release of his new studio album. That album Look Out Machines was described by Q magazine as “Sumptuous, symphonic pop anthem, courtesy of dreadlocked Irishman who sounds like The Flaming Lips crossed with Rufus
Wainwright”.

We speak about his musical inspirations, his new album, his eclectic work [which is as diverse as writing the theme tune for the Irish Sesame Street to writing the music for and appearing in Deborah Warner’s critically acclaimed 2009 production of Bertolt Brecht’s ‘Mother Courage and Her Children’ at London’s National Theatre] and his candid take on new music.

On this week's New at 2 I chatted with Bristol based project Communion. They've been working together and making music since 2014 and have already gained friends in high places in the guise of music producer Robert L Smith who is an Oscar winning, Grammy nominated producer who’s worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and David Bowie! We talk about how that came about, their music so far and their future plans.

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.

Enjoy!
done!
